Haverstick assists Ethicon Endo-Surgery in providing training documentation to participants in laparoscopic training
The Client Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc. is recognized as a world leader in the manufacture of surgical instruments used for minimally invasive surgery. They work with surgeons around the world in developing products and refining products and procedures that make a difference to the surgical patient.
The Challenge The Endo-Surgery Institute (ESI) had developed a series of six courses to help teaching hospitals introduce their residents to laparoscopic surgery. Although the courses were being delivered to the hospitals on CD-ROM, ESI needed to offer program directors the ability to track the residents’ progress and understanding of the materials.
The Haverstick Approach Haverstick’s learning services team worked with the client to understand the particular needs of training hospitals, their program directors, and residents. We were able to customize our learning management system to meet the unique needs of the client while providing them with feedback about their training program.
Haverstick’s team provided a Learning Management System that allows Program Directors to register their hospitals for Laparoscopy 101 as well as track students’ understanding and feedback.
The Result Ethicon Endo-Surgery has a strategy, plan, and support system to offer high-quality instructional materials and reports for teaching hospitals. |
