CARMEL, Ind. – January 17, 2006 Haverstick Consulting, Inc. today announced that the United States Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) has awarded Haverstick subsidiary DTI Associates with a five-year, $49.6 million support contract. As part of the contract, DTI will provide technical, systems engineering, test and analysis, program management, training and logistics support to the Engagement Systems Department and other Dahlgren NAVSEA Division Departments. The contract also includes support of the Program Executive Offices and Chief Naval Operations offices relative to weapons and munitions programs.
“DTI has provided Naval program and weapons development support to Dahlgren for more than 12 years,” said Howard Bates, president of Haverstick. “We are extremely pleased to receive this renewed expression of confidence in the quality and level of service that we have historically provided. This large contract is a compliment to the employees of DTI who continue to provide the U.S. Navy with quality services and support. We look forward to building upon our past successes and supporting NAVSEA’s dedicated staff and critical mission.”
Bates added, “We have proven over the last several years that we have the expertise and experience to deliver a variety of world-class services to the Navy, Department of Defense and other governmental agencies. This contract is validation of that fact. Now the hard work begins, and we are confident we have the people, skills and technology in place to ensure success in what we have been called upon to do.”
Wayne Rogers, DTI’s division director said, “We are grateful and enthusiastic to have been selected to support this challenging and rewarding work for the Navy, and specifically the Dahlgren Division, which is a leader in Navy research and development. It is gratifying to support projects such as STANDARD Missile development for the Navy, 30 millimeter gun development for the Marines, and 57 millimeter gun development for the Navy and Coast Guard.
